Welcome

St. John's Elora is a community of Christian faith in the Anglican tradition known for outstanding choral work, inspiring preaching and liturgy, and generous outreach.  Our four priorities are to proclaim the love of Christ, engage and involve people, musical outreach and open doors.  You can read more about our Vision here.

St. John's is a member of the Anglican Church of Canada in the Diocese of Niagara.

Open Doors Project

Open Doors is one of the FOUR PRIORITIES in our Vision to serve the community we live in.

The purpose for this new project is to connect the church building to the Parish Centre (yellow house) with a mutli-use reception hall, commercial kitchen, accessible washrooms, improved HVAC system and electrical capacity. We are at the stages of seeking approvals from regulatory bodies and engaging your support.

Here is a booklet of frequently asked questions and answers that informs you of what Open Doors is all about. For more information, and for opportunities to fund this exciting venture, please contact us through the Parish Office.

Bach Meditations

An afternoon series exploring the sacred cantatas, or musical sermons, of J.S. Bach.

Featuring soloists from the St. John's Parish Choir and Baroque Players.

SUNDAY APRIL 28, 3:15 p.m.

Coronation Evensong

SUNDAY MAY 26, 4:00 p.m

CORONATION EVENSONG.  A special thanksgiving service of Evensong to give thanks for the Coronation and pray for the King, and for our dedication to service and community. Followed by a Garden Tea outside on the lawn.  This is a community event, so everyone is welcome, and Royal Garden Tea attire, hats and fascinators are encouraged if you have them.

Baptism

Baptism is a sign of your response to God's action in the world and in your life.  Baptism is a public declaration that you are wanting to orient your life towards God's light and love and recognize God's commitment to you.

If you are thinking about Baptism, here is a booklet to help answer some of your questions.  Please contact the clergy to begin the conversation.
