Knitters and Quilters

A group of people meet on Wednesdays at 10:30 primarily to create knitted, crocheted, or quilt projects for the community.

But you don't need to be a knitter or quilter to join.

Depending on pandemic guidelines, we meet either in-person, over Zoom, or in nice weather outdoors at Station Square Park on Colborne Street in Elora.  This group of "Knitters and Quilters" has been meeting for over 30 years.

Projects:

  • Prayer Shawls for people recovering from illness or grief.
  • Afghans for palliative care patients.
  • Hats for neo-natal unit at the hospital.
  • Teddy Bears for the hospital.
  • Baby quilts.

If you are interested in finding out more information or joining us, send us an email to Barb Dunsmore or Wendy Boose

Poppy Project

We marked the centenary of the POPPY in 2021 with an outdoor installation of over 7,000 poppies.

We are hoping to expand the project in 2022 throughout the village. So start knitting ... Patterns are available by clicking HERE.
